  I would like to tell you about a terrible experience that my sister has had with Hafod Farm Weddings and the owner, Joanne Day.
  
  Joanne double booked my sisters wedding at her venue and left her out of pocket. It had been booked for 16 months when 3 months before the wedding she rang to say that, although it had been written down in 5 places and she has taken 2 payments, she had made a mistake and it had to be cancelled. Needless to say this is heartbreaking for any couple and due to the short notice meant that their wedding had to be postponed by a year to find another suitable and available venue.
  
  Unfortunately she has failed to cover out of pocket costs (deposits for suppliers, and family that had booked travel from overseas) which we could not recover when she cancelled. When I rang her to try and resolve the situation she said that she wouldnt refund costs.
  
  This has forced us to take it to the small claims court to recover what we were out of pocket. She failed to turn up to court since she had no defence, and the court found against her and judged that she should pay. She has failed to pay the CCJ and so bailiffs will have to be used. I hope bailiffs dont show up on the wedding day of an innocent couple at their wedding day.
  
  A quick search of companies house shows she has dubious record, where shes been the Director of companies dissolved because HMRC have petitioned for it (presumably unpaid tax).
  
  She had no compassion or shame when dealing with my heartbroken sister and her fiancee. I think you find out who some people really are at times like those.
